Raft of industry awards for APS at trade fair

Australian Power Steering, Australia’s pre-eminent re-manufacturer of automotive power steering racks, boxes and pumps received outstanding recognition by its peers taking three major awards at the recent Australian Automotive Aftermarket Trade Fair in Sydney.

The prestigious ‘Excellence in Manufacturing’ was awarded for the company’s meticulous attention to quality in all facets of its business. The manufacturing processes include CNC lathes, CNC machine centre, design, metallurgy, research and development, dismantling, cleaning and inspection, production line assembly, warehouse and distribution, sales and marketing, quality control, human resources and administration.

A host of key performance indicators constantly measured across all business activities and reported on weekly, monthly and at regular business planning meetings ensure actions demonstrate continual improvement throughout the business.

The company is so confident in its processes and skilled staff that it has just introduced an amazing five year, 130,000km, written warranty on every APS re-manufactured unit, with some conditions applying.

On-going investment in plant and equipment has enabled the company to manufacture high quality components in-house providing consistency in quality and supply for production. Much of the company’s test equipment has been designed and purpose-built by skilled personnel within the company, generating additional valuable domestic and export market sales potential for its specialised power steering test equipment.

The ‘Best Exhibitors Stand Award’ for stands under 36 square metres was won by Australian Power Steering for its eye-catching open and colourful display of products and equipment.
