of industry awards for APS at trade fair
Australian Power Steering, Australia’s pre-eminent
re-manufacturer of automotive power steering racks, boxes
and pumps received outstanding recognition by its peers
taking three major awards at the recent Australian Automotive
Aftermarket Trade Fair in Sydney.
The prestigious ‘Excellence in Manufacturing’
was awarded for the company’s meticulous attention
to quality in all facets of its business. The manufacturing
processes include CNC lathes, CNC machine centre, design,
metallurgy, research and development, dismantling, cleaning
and inspection, production line assembly, warehouse and
distribution, sales and marketing, quality control, human
resources and administration.
A host of key performance indicators constantly measured
across all business activities and reported on weekly, monthly
and at regular business planning meetings ensure actions
demonstrate continual improvement throughout the business.
The company is so confident in its processes and skilled
staff that it has just introduced an amazing five year,
130,000km, written warranty on every APS re-manufactured
unit, with some conditions applying.
On-going investment in plant and equipment has enabled
the company to manufacture high quality components in-house
providing consistency in quality and supply for production.
Much of the company’s test equipment has been designed
and purpose-built by skilled personnel within the company,
generating additional valuable domestic and export market
sales potential for its specialised power steering test
equipment.
The ‘Best Exhibitors Stand Award’ for stands
under 36 square metres was won by Australian Power Steering
for its eye-catching open and colourful display of products
and equipment.
